Our Day
Thursday's gathering went so well, I feel so blessed to have such wonderful friends so close by and committed to meeting once a month! It was definately alot of fun to have everyone that was able to attend this month here in my home building gingerbread houses with our young children! For some of them it was the fist time they have ever done this.
I wish I could post some pictures of the day, but I did not realize that the few pictures I did take were just stored in our camera's memory without the memory stick, because the night before John took it out to download the existing photos and we forgot to put it back in and so.....yeah.....nough said!
Anyhow, here are a few pictures of my girls putting the gingerbread house that Poppy and Nanny sent home with me last time I was visiting, together. Please excuse that run-on sentence! :)

Recipe?
Does anyone have a tried and true recipe for frosting for gingerbread houses? If so please share...soon! :)
I will be running out this afternoon to run errands and need to get the ingredients for it then.
I am hosting a "Ladies (with young children) Gathering" on Thursday that my daughters and I have been a part of since April. We meet every third Thursday and it is our turn to host. I thought it would be fun to make miniature gingerbread houses with the children using graham crackers!
Including my children there will be 12......that's right 12!! children under the age of eight here for the afternoon! So...pray for me, please.

So, as you can see I have not posted on here in over a year. Reason? I find it much simpler to just jot a quick blurb on fb, and I wasn't sure if anyone still checks this anymore.

Quick Update
I haven't been on here in over a month. A little computer break is a good thing !
In the meantime,we sold BOTH of our houses! We got a good price for both and we feel blessed! Right now our home is almost all packed. We have done so in two days! Needless to say-we are tired....no exhausted!
Can't write too much more,I am very pressed for time. Our phone and internet will be shut off tomorrow. Because our houses sold so fast (we need to be out by tomorrow),we are in a definate time frame. I just wanted to inform everyone of our good news!

Trailwalking!
We live in the Finger Lakes Trails region here on the Southern Tier and enjoying trailwalking very much. Consequently we take full advantage of the beautiful scenery and adventures that these trails bring. We not only hike on the trails we fish and swim in the gorges. It is so much fun and a wonderful way of spending quality time as a family. Here are some pictures from our last three hikes.
